I love this show. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know it's just another singing competition show, but that's not why I like it. I like it because of the judges and their chemistry together. They are HILARIOUS!
Now, before I started watching this, I was not a fan of Adam Levine; I kinda thought he was a douchebag, mainly because of what I've read about him, but after watching the first few episodes of this show, I completely changed my mind! I heart Adam Levine. True story. He is hilarious and genuinely seems to care about the contestants. And... he's kind hot. (dammit)
I have had always had a soft spot for Mister Cee-Lo Green, so I thought it was odd when he was added to the show, but it just works! He's "quirky" enough that it works with the other judges very well. The second season he had his white cat during the interviews and this season he's got a pink cockatoo on his shoulder... Now, don't get me wrong, I love a pink cockatoo every now and then, but I hope this doesn't mean the cat is no longer going to make an appearance because that cat is the shit!
I've always loved Christina Aguilera's voice, but I've never really had an opinion about her one way or another, but I thought it would be interesting to see how she interacts with and "banters" with the other judges and she does surprisingly well. I was kinda shocked, actually. She has her bitchy moments, but I think she really does care about the contestants.
Blake Shelton. Anyone that knows me, knows that I am not a country music fan at all. I don't listen to it. Period. I just can't get into white folks singing about beer and tractors. So, I didn't know much about Blake Shelton, except from what my parents have mentioned, since they do like country music. Well, he was the biggest surprise for me because he is the funniest goddamn judge on the show! Seriously. I love him now. I still don't listen to his music or to country music, but I like him and am debating whether or not I want to follow him on Twitter (that's a big step).
All in all, I just really love this show and I get excited to watch it on Monday nights because I know it will be fun and super entertaining!
