We Need to Talk About Kevin

Add this movie to the growing list of reasons why I don't want kids. This was just a super creepy movie, which is a compliment to Tilda Swinton and Ezra Miller. You wouldn't think that a movie about a child who does something so horrible would be more than just shocking or sad. But this one was creepy.

The "creepy" factor was only compounded by the fact that "Kevin" knew exactly what he was doing from a VERY young age and he only did it to his mother (Swinton). He was the happy-go-lucky son whenever his father was in the room.

Ezra Miller did a fantastic job of portraying a disturbed kid who shows no remorse over anything that he does throughout the entire film. Almost like it needed to happen and he was more than willing to be the one that did it.

I'm sure I'll be thinking about this one for quite awhile, which is good and bad. Good, in that the film was so brilliantly made that I'll keep processing everything. Bad, in that it's not really a "happy" movie that one wants to think about for extended periods of time.
